Thank you so much for visiting me again! A few weeks ago, I had this really small pimple on my face, and being a picker, I squeezed it so hard that it left a scab and bruise on my face. I was researching ways to help heal it naturally and quickly and I found an amazing DIY remedy — manuka honey.
What is is?
It’s a product of New Zealand and it comes from bees that pollinate the New Zealand teatree.
Manuka honey is antibacterial, which mean that it’s great for fighting those nasty zits. It is also used by doctors in New Zealand to treat burn victims (note: the honey that is use by medical professionals is a medical grade manuka honey, and it’s not just off of the shelf).
How do I use it?
I use this on my skin a few times a week to help keep my naturally dry skin soft and supple. Take half of a tablespoon and rub it all over your face and neck. Leave it on for 15-20 minutes and wash it off with warm water. Pat you face dry with a clean towel. If you skin feels extra dry you can add a moisturizer, but mine usually feels hydrated after I do the mask so I don’t add anything.
Where can I buy it?
I bought mine from Whole Food Market, but you can purchase it on Amazon.
Thanks for reading and I hope this information was useful!
