Today I pulled out my seersucker blazer that I got from H&M a few years ago. I seriously LOVE this material for spring. It’s so southern, so classy and so light. Best of all it goes with everything! I wore it today with these brown pants by INC and this ruffled white shirt from Victoria’s Secret.
The word seersucker is derived from an Indian word. The word came into English from Hindustani (Urdu and Hindi), and originates from the words “kheer aur shakkar”, literally meaning “rice pudding and sugar”, probably from the resemblance of its smooth and rough stripes to the smooth texture of milk and the bumpy texture of sugar.
