My baby sister has always had a knack for baking ever since she was a little girl.
Yesterday I decided to take a spin on replacing some conventional ingredients in chocolate chip cookies with healthier options. It’s a really simple and delicious recipe and I hope you try it!
Ingredients
2 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup (2 sticks) unsalted butter, room temperature
1/2 cup coconut sugar
1 cup packed organic brown sugar
1 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons organic vanilla soy milk
2 large eggs
2 cups (about 12 ounces) semisweet and/or milk chocolate chips
Directions:
Step 1
Preheat oven to 350 degrees
Step 2
In a small bowl mix together the flour and baking soda
Step 3
In a large bowl, cream together the butter and both sugars. Next, stir in the soy milk, salt and eggs one at a time. Then add the flour mixture and fold in the chocolate chips.
STEP 4
Spoon batter onto greased baking sheets lined with aluminum foil.
Bake for 8-12 minutes
